Laser Hair Removal Treatment Brampton
What Happens During A Treatment?
Your treatment begins by trimming away the hair above the skin. A cold gel, similar to ultrasound gel, is applied to the area to be treated. You will be given protective eyewear to protect your eyes from the bright light. The smooth glass surface of the appropriate light source is gently applied to your skin and pulses of light disable your unwanted hair. Much of the hair is wiped off along with the gel, after the treatment
What Does the Treatment Feel Like?
With each pulse when applied, you may feel a slight sting or pinch, like snapping of a small rubber band. Most people tolerate the procedure well and no local anesthesia is required.
Can All Hair Be Treated?
We offer customized treatment according to your hair color, texture and the location of the body hair. This is possible by adjusting and controlling the frequency, intensity and duration of the light pulse that is suitable to your unique hair and skin type. The only requirement is that in order for the hair to be treated effectively, it has at least some pigment in it – black, brown, red and even blond. During the consultation session if we determine that the hair to be treated is low on pigmentation, we may recommend you to pre-treat your hair with a pigment-enhancing product that we offer.
Is IPL Safe for All Skin Types?
IPL procedure is approved both by Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in the U.S.A. and also Health Canada . It is the first photoepilation procedure proven to effectively treat unwanted hair on all skin types, including dark skinned individuals such as those of Black, Hispanic and Asian descent.
Are There Any Possible Side Effects?
Side effects are rare. You may experience some slight reddening or local swelling at the treatment site, but this typically goes away within hours. On rare occasions, some blistering or bruising may occur, but typically resolves quickly. Also, the skin can become darker or lighter following treatment, but will generally return to normal within a few weeks. Limiting sun exposure before and after each treatment will minimize the risk of complications.
Following the treatment, you can generally return to work and resume all regular activities immediately.
How Does Laser Hair Removal Compare with Other Methods:
Shaving, tweezing, waxing, electrolysis, depilatory creams and sprays are the conventional methods to get rid of unwanted hair. They all have their limitations. Either they are very short-term solutions (e. g. shaving) or are painful, unsafe and slow (e.g. electrolysis, tweezing). IPL photoepialation is non-invasive and unlike electrolysis, no needles are inserted into the follicle of each hair to destroy the hair root. It is, therefore, safe, effective and painless.
Is it right for you?
More advanced than even lasers, IPL is the first photoepilation technology proven to treat unwanted hair safely on most skin types. In order to ensure the best outcome, you may be asked about your medical history and skin type in order to estimate the results you should expect from your customized treatment program.
